Unit 5 - Adding Event Speaker and linking with Sessions

Click on the “Content Management System” module in the User Dashboard.

Uploading speakers and agenda  


  1. It is important to first upload speakers and then agenda sessions so the sessions are correctly linked with agenda.If the speakers are uploaded after the agenda excel, the sessions will not be correctly linked with the speakers. 

  2. When uploading via excel or adding speakers from dashboard, the minimum required fields are Name, Company, Email and Position. If you do not have the information at the time of upload, you can add placeholder information and update once you have the correct information. 



For uploading Speakers details, click on "Speakers" from the left panel of the home screen admin dashboard.

Admin can add the speakers through both manually or by uploading the XLS sheet in the dashboard. But it is recommended that manually adding method can be used for a small number of speakers uploading, whereas uploading the XLS method is for bulk upload.

Adding Speakers Manually

  1. Open the Speakers module by clicking on the "Speakers" option from the left panel of the home screen available on the Admin Dashboard. Now click on the "New Speakers" option.


  2. Speaker Details Form Consists:

    • Speaker Name

    • Company

    • Position

    • Facebook and LinkedIn links

    • Speaker image(upload from local storage)

    • Speaker Description


  3. Before Clicking on the save button, make sure that every field has been filled with correct information of the speakers.


  4. The Speaker Information will be updated once you click on the "Save" button and Publish it to make it live in Mobile Apps.



Adding Speakers through XLS sheet:

For uploading the speakers in the XLS sheet, click on the "Upload XLS" button to open the Import Speaker Info page.

  1. Click on the Download Template option.


  2. After downloading the template and add the speaker data in it accordingly, the given format.

  3. NoteThis method helps you to upload bulk speaker's information.
    In the import speaker data, you can see here is the option of upload files and upload XlSX.




  4. Upload files:
    To upload an image, first you name that picture, after that you create a folder and put all the pictures in it and convert that folder into a zip file, then you upload the zip file.

  5. (Note: We will upload the zip file for uploading the photo first and then upload the XLSX file)



    After successfully upload the zip file, you can open the excel file, add the profile image name which is added to your zip file and upload and publish it.




  6. Points to follow in Template:

    1. The ID column should be in increasing order

    2. Name, Company, Email and Position are mandatory fields 


  7. In the Upload xlsx file, click on Choose file inside upload XLSX option in the dashboard and upload the XLS sheet and click upload.


  8. The user will see a successful pop-up message saying, "Speakers details saved successfully." After that, you publish the dashboard so that it will start showing in your device.








Export and Delete Speaker

  1. In Export Excel, you can export the uploaded agenda.


  2. In Delete Selected, You can delete a session, first select the session, then click on delete session, then a pop message will come in, click OK and delete it.

In Manually: Open the agenda session, add speaker name to it and save it and publish it.



In XLS Sheet: Open the agenda Excel file, add the speaker, then upload and save it and then publish it, after that you can see the speaker in the agenda session in the device.
